This shows the rear of the Ricci unit before its onboard VOM and motion 'speed' control were installed. The three switches were for 1: Motor power, 2: Sleep mode, 3: Dead (turned off Neutronics power supply). As long as we left the unit in 'sleep' mode after a day of testing (when it was finished, of course) it retained what it learned the day before and responded quicker when its 'sleep' (turning input receptors to near null) was changed to 'awake' (input receptors on). This shows a nice view as well of the drive motor assembly and the two 'ports' for connection to testing devices.
