This rather lame looking contraption was the first set of 'eye's for Little Ricci. Each side contained a CDS cell with small lenses that turned out to be focused so close that Ricci would have been essentially blind. We changed that idea and opted for a more logical approach of larger lenses that were held into tubes to form a deeper focal point. That didn't work either, as the focal point was not 'central' to both 'eyes'. After much discussion, a pair of binoculars was acquired that could be focused and Ricci's vision was wonderful. Focus was three feet out.
