Unlike Artificial Intelligence, which has NO helpful lesson to apply: knowing how the brain actually works results in solutions!

Depression is the result of long term memory not matching short term memory.

It is overcome by addressing its symptoms. It is solved by addressing its cause.

The symptom of crying is overcome literally by crossing your eyes. The more you do it the less crying you’ll have.

The symptom of regret or remembering things that trigger depression is to place them in context. Literally every time you think of something that would cause you to be depressed immediately place it in context. THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW. NOHING NOW IS CAUSING DEPRESSION. MEMORY IS CAUSING DEPRESSION.

The solution is to stop thinking about the memory that causes depression. Every time you do, change the topci think about a safe and happy thing. It is best to identify a single ‘now based’ happy condition to support THAT WAS THEN THIS IS NOW.

You will slowly start to replace the problem memory with today’s happy memory.

Then the full solution to depression is to increase your level of self-awareness. Do that if you wear glasses, by seeing the rims. Everything you find yourself NOT seeing the rims. See the rims. You can  do that with seeing your nose if you don’t wear glasses. It is treating the root cause of depression (lack of full self-awareness) by increasing your short term control.

There is no instant cure. There is NO NEED to address the problems that trigger it.

Re read this and start applying it ALL. No matter how silly it may seem.

You can get rid of depression and start making the rest of your life positive as well.

You do not HAVE to be depressed. You do have to be more in control of your long term memory and that is only done by increasing self-awareness.
