Looking relaxed and upbeat, he mocked Republicans for acting as if the bill would lead to “Armageddon.”
“After I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there were any asteroids falling, some cracks opening up in the earth,” Obama said, adding it turned out to be a nice day and “birds were chirping, folks were strolling down the mall.”
He did not mock Republicans. Obama assumed Armageddon to be a religious fight and he LOOKED TO THE SKY to mock GOD! for not having struck him down with an asteriod, or sent him to hell through cracks in the earth.
A normal thinking human being would have probably assumed the use of the word ‘Armageddon’ was in lew of stating it would be all out political war with the political fight to the political death for the country and the Constitution, or the people’s leader and his commune would prevail. But no. Obama had to gaze toward the sky, raise his arm up, as if to mock the lack of an arm reaching down to smite him.
I truly think his gesture and his attitude were not anti-religious, but rather pro-the-power-of-self-delusion as our infant President shows his arrogance just about any time he isn’t reading someone else’s words. Be that as it may, invoking such an obvious gesture of mockery of GOD in such controlled anger as he did, shows something much deeper should concern us all.
