Informing the public of crimes against them is not like love. In Love you can tell a person all day long you love them but if you do not show them they are not likely to believe you.
From that understanding of the condition comes the stupid.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
PROSECUTORS: Every law violation you show the people, is another dereliction of duty OF YOUR JOB.
Human nature is simple.
1: People have to be paying attention to make any difference. Most people live their lives. They do not vicariously live other’s and most don’t care.
2: People have to be watching the source. Media does not show what will hurt it.
3: People have to relate to the news they see. NOTHING negative is shown to the majority of American people and what is shown tells them what to consider. It does not fulfill a request.
4: The more you show something the more it becomes normal. The more normal something is the less importance it has.
So while law enforcement is pretending to show people instead of tell people they are not only violating their oaths of office in mal and misfeasance, they are also conditioning the people to expect what they are seeing to be normal.
All the line “Sometimes you can’t tell people the truth you have to show them… Only then will people find the will to change” does is admit refusal to act and misdirect the blame from the criminals who the people only need to be informed about and the people who do not have to ‘change’ at all to stop the crimes.
Saying you have to show instead of tell means you already know but will wait for the commission of a crime before you can tell people about it. THAT IS ENTRAPMENT! THAT IS ILLEGAL!
The responsibility of law enforcement is to protect the people. NOT ALLOW THE CRIMINALS TO OFFEND THE PEOPLE JUST IT CAN BE SHOWN.
STOP THE CRIMES don’t let them pile up on the victims.

For every crime the people need to be shown there are victims and people suffering so others can ‘see’.

While people are ‘being shown’: they are losing their liberties, their freedoms and their livelihoods.All things law enforcement and military take oaths to protect. Obviously of little value now.
