OK: Forget every single thing you think you know about self-awareness*. Everything!
Describing something from its perspective is not that easy. Understanding something from its perspective is even harder. But its doable!
The only way it is doable, is to start with how it is formed. Remember: forget every thing you think you know about self-awareness! Ready?
Input from your eyes or your ears (the two senses saved in your brain, others are processed and outputted) enters into your brain and heads directly to comparison with memory. If you were not human that would be comparison to long term memory and would result mostly, in reaction based on learned behavior. Conditioning. Results are pushed into long term memory. Memory is discussed below.
But you are human (I’m assuming here!) So input is compared to short term memory. That short term is what will become YOU! It is your conditioning based on your perspective and your degree of control. If it is not grown neither will you. You see, long term memory is by default, in control of your body. As you age (normally around age 8) that short term memory will have built up a copy of it in long term that the existence of both results in SELF-AWARENESS YOU REMEMBER. Short term memory is only seven seconds long. Long term memory has no limit. (Memory is below don’t want to get ahead of myself!)
Long term holds the record of your existence as viewed by you. Short term holds the constantly reminded loop of self. It is only seven seconds long. That is all that is needed to set up the long term loop of self-awareness that is built up in long term to actually remember you. You learn to become you. And you remember it. Once you do, the sky is the limit as there is no limit.
The problem with today: most people either skipped the 8 year threshold or lost it over time. It is a fragile thing. Self is maintained only if self is recognized.
Its antidote? Reactive Repetition.
Reactive Repetition is when a person goes through live reacting to external events. That reaction cuts down the control a self aware brain has. The less self-awareness, the more reaction. The more reaction, the less self-awareness.
And there is today.
Human evolution is solely based on self-awareness. It is what makes humans different from all other animals.
It is supposed to have maintained the species’ ability to procreate, to evolve and to grow. Without it, the human becomes not unlike a monkey. I call it a HUKEY. A human monkey.
Today, the planet is inhabited with a majority of Hukeys. They pretend to know what is going on, by declaring they are the center of their universe. Without the concept of self in control of your head, anything entering: controls it. After a short bit you become more what it controlling you, than you are you.
The solution is literally every major problem of the human species (it is not a race: all humans are the exact same regardless of color or shape or size or appearance,) you learn that. When you become self-aware: crap STOPS!
When self-awareness returns to the majority of the human population peace will rule. Love will be possible. Fear will cease. Bad will be known as bad. For once. The phrase Peace, Brotherhood and Love will exist for real.
There are ways to make that happen. Mostly, it takes a bit of self-awareness to crank it up. Without any (as most of the undeveloped world so readily displays) people are slaves and don’t know it. People are victims but not of what they think they are. People are more along as members of groups than they would be if they were not. Groups reduce self, in order to exist.
The complete solution to nearly all that ails humanity awaits. It will come. It will be known and it will be spread world wide. Not because it is easy. But because it MUST.
Memory!
Remember that: forget everything you know statement? Well. Here we go again.
When you think memory you do so because repetition has made memory to you to be digital memory. Computer memory. Ah, NO! That was created by brains. It is not how brains work. (Same problem with AI. It is created by brains it is not at all how brains work.)
Educated in digital memory you would consider that there must be a limit to how much memory can go inside that head of yours. After all if you want to increase memory in your computer you have to add hardware.
Not so in the brain. Brains (all) take in compared results of input to previous memory and form new memory. That new memory enters at the top and weeds it’s way smaller as it goes down the pike. Down the pike means deeper into the ‘past’.
You see your concept of time is completely and totally (redundant on purpose) fake. Each time a memory chunk passes through a neuron it gets smaller. It’s just what the process does. Its part of the computation taking place inside neurons. For this purpose ignore synapses. They are just biological diodes (without them signals would not go in one direction). That ‘smaller memory’ appears to the new memory entering on top of the pile to be ‘old’. Yes it is ‘older’ than new memory but ‘old’ is a duration. Not a field.
Yes the concept of ‘time’ is present in every brain so it is no wonder it has become something other than it is. But it is, just the result of neural processing.
Yes, time is measured as duration. Just like distance is measured in spaces. Volume is measured in amount. But there is no volume or distance fields as nobody has them inside. You have ‘time’ inside. We all do. The sooner you realize there is no such thing outside of your head the sooner a lot of things will self correct.
Which sense memory process is in control of your head determines your personality. If your visual process is in control (you can see images in your head) your personality will reflect that and so will your life’s choices. See The Brain Is A Wonderful Thing chapter on sexual preference.)
If you cannot see an image in your head to save your life (me and my wife thank heavens!) visual thinkers like to consider you sick. Which is why visual thinkers cannot comprehend a concept. They can’t see an image of a concept. Visual thinking politicians even ridicule the very idea of a concept. Idiots. In fact those arrogant pukes even gave you a condition name.
Aphantasia (HOW STUPID!)
According to some AI software that STOLE the results from somewhere: “People who cannot see images in their head may have a condition called aphantasia, which is the inability to voluntarily visualize mental images. This condition was first described by Francis Galton in 1880 and has gained more attention recently. Individuals with aphantasia do not experience visual imagery when they try to picture something in their mind, such as counting sheep or imagining themselves on a beach.”
That ignorant arrogance is responsible for most problems when evaluating humans. Humans are convinced, how they are, is how all humans are.
No. The faster you learn it, the better it will be.
Memory in a computer is an X-Y coordinate where a whole chunk of data is stored. NOT in a brain.
Memory in a brain is tiny and fragmented. There are thousands of pathways for each individual moment in memory. The eye, for example: each input has a slightly different perspective of the same visual experience. Those pathways are all on different clocking steps. All at the same rate. And that rate is what allows memory to contribute to intellect. SEE TBIAWT for that clocking breakdown. It is quite accurate.
If you compare two things that are the same rate you get the same result. No chance at variation. If you compare two things where one is moving at an exponential increase in speed that increase will further clarify and separate parts of memory to be better analyzed and better utilized. Imagine if the ratio was higher than normal. Or lower than normal.
For the following I will be using ‘time’ as duration. A second is simply that long.
Generally speaking:
A: human input for each sensor type is twice per second.
B: human long term memory is 30:1 over input. That means for every input pathway from sensors, long term memory is creating 30 versions of it per half second, each one taking on characteristics of its calculation with the base rate. Base rates are set by the biological clock, located about an inch in the middle behind the forehead skull. Don’t take my word for it, it was found in 1988 by a study at Boston General Hospital. Long term doesn’t really take up all that much room in the brain. It isn’t very fast.
C: human short term memory is also 30:1 but over long term. That means compared to input it is 900:1. Per half second. Are you starting to get the feeling that 120 beats per minute would be an amazing match to human clocks. It takes up a great deal of space in the brain. In fact it had to fold into itself in order to evolve that far. If it was longer than seven seconds it would not fit.
For those visual thinkers: imagine (you can do it!) in your head a ladder (no cheating don’t scroll down). Going down the right side is new memory. Each rung is another neuron. The base rate is present in the neuron and we see it as ‘charged’. Base rate inside processes is previous memory. When the new signal between that neuron, and the one across the rung, where memory is coming up that side, meet, it is either high and recognized or low and ignored.
If you are an aural thinker (Aphantasia for those idiots who think they are all that matter,) THIS will help. (Visual thinkers are responsible for the art and the architecture, while aural thinkers are responsible for the engineering and the mechanics.)
The resulting output from input versus short term is sent to long term AND back into short term. THAT LOOP IS WHERE YOU RESIDE. Without it. Hukey.
Memory is unlimited in long term. How? Only those things recalled will be remembered. If you want to remember something recall it. Over and over again. Its called training. Some people who are not fully self aware keep recalling the dumbest things. Those things that bother you . Those things that cause pain. STOP RECALLING THEM THEY WILL NO LONGER HURT.
A program designed to increase self-awareness without being objectionable and without being intrusive is ready.
It will be deployed. Evil will pay for its own demise.
* = There are as many definitions of self-awareness as there are people to make them up. There is ONLY ONE WAY it is created and ONE WAY it is maintained.
