With a lot of serious topics going around it might be a nice reprieve to delve into a simple topic.

It is rather funny to imagine all of the things that started off with an incorrect assumption. By started off, I mean the explanation thereof.

Take time. Please. All you need. But you are looking at time completely wrong and you are doing so because of how you think.

The problem with science (and religion and philosophy etc.) is the original assumptions are carried forward through the ages rather than being re-evaluated from time to time.

It look a lot to change from flat to round. The earth didn’t change. The people did and they did it with great argument and defense of ignorance. It is what people do.

So let’s start on that pesky totally incorrect definition of time.

All of this data is collected from one source: https://www.thoughtco.com/what-is-time-4156799

“Physicists define time as the progression of events from the past to the present into the future. Basically, if a system is unchanging, it is timeless. Time can be considered to be the fourth dimension of reality, used to describe events in three-dimensional space. It is not something we can see, touch, or taste, but we can measure its passage.”

And there it is. The initial assumption is wrong. TIME IS NOT EVENTS. For there to be a progressive of events either time is the progression or it is the events. IT IS NEITHER.

Time appears to be moving forward and sinking into the past because the brain’s memories shrink with each process performed. That makes older memories PREVIOUS MEMORIES. BUT IT IS NOT TIME!

Time is not change.

Time is not a dimension.

The ONLY thing correct in the official scientific definition of time is WE CAN MEASURE. Time does not pass anymore than distance reduces by traveling it.

TIME IS DURATION. THAT IS ALL TIME IS.

It can be stated to be a field of its own, but it is a stationary one.

It can be stated to be what other fields define it as:

“The question of why time is irreversible is one of the biggest unresolved questions in science.”

That is what happens when a topic is started with a falsehood. THERE IS NO DIRECTION TO REVERSE.

Then when a real description is attempted:

“The human brain is equipped to track time. The suprachiasmatic nuclei of the brain is the region responsible for daily or circadian rhythms. Neurotransmitters and drugs affect time perceptions. Chemicals that excite neurons so that they fire more quickly than normal speed up time, while decreased neuron firing slows down time perception. Basically, when time seems to speed up, the brain distinguishes more events within an interval. In this respect, time truly does seem to fly when one is having fun.

Time seems to slow down during emergencies or danger. Scientists at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston say the brain doesn’t actually speed up, but the amygdala becomes more active. The amygdala is the region of the brain that makes memories. As more memories form, time seems drawn out.

The same phenomenon explains why older people seem to perceive time as moving faster than when they were younger. Psychologists believe the brain forms more memories of new experiences than of familiar ones. Since fewer new memories are built later in life, time seems to pass more quickly.”

The brain (regardless of species) IS the culprit behind a concept of time. Rhythms are body clock patterns and control the efficiency of the brain. Time ‘seems’ to slow down and speed up. No it does not. The whole topic of memory is dealt with in the book The Brain Is A Wonderful Thing. Look it up. And brains do not ‘track time’.

TIME IS A MEASUREMENT OF DURATION.

So are the rest of the things that are measured. But only time is given its own place.

Do we have fields of distance, height, weight, length, area, temperature, volume? Nope. Then why is time given that brand?

Time is the only form of measurement the brain literally relies on. It is built into the process. It is a single stationary condition only when it applies to the duration of everything. The Universe. Other than that… the progression of events cannot be studied without a reference to the duration.

Smaller and much closer to home, this can be shown using one of the most popular thought experiments or Gedankenexperiments Albert Einstein used in relativity.

Einstein Clock Theory:

“The world’s most accurate clock has neatly shown how right Albert Einstein was 100 years ago, when he proposed that time is a relative concept and the higher you live above sea level the faster you should age. Einstein’s theory of relativity states that time and space are not as constant as everyday life would suggest.” from https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/einsteins-theory-is-proved-and-it-is-bad-news-if-you-own-a-penthouse-2088195.html

And it is completely wrong, based on an incorrect initial assumption.

All one has to do to make his theory accurate is fix it:

“time is a relative concept and the higher you live above sea level the faster you should age,” becomes:

Time is perceived by the brain doing the perception, since time is the basic result of a calculative process that results in smaller combined values with each process: a slight difference in brain bioclock base speed will completely change the resulting perception of time. YOU DO NOT AGE DIFFERENTLY since ‘age’ is the duration of your physical existence and has NOT ONE THING to do with perception and is not controlled by anything else.

“Time is a relative concept causing perception that the higher you live above sea level the faster you should age”

Time is not a concept!!! Where you are in relation to this planet is ABSURDLY IGNORANT and based on the initial error.

And let us not confuse a mechanical clock to time. A clock just shows the duration. It DOES NOT MAKE IT.

We do not attribute a ruler to the length of a car. We only do so with time because it is part of what makes us think.

TIME is the resulting perception created by memories that are smaller with each input comparison. It can be said to exist subjectively as a field of one constant duration. The Universe.

Time has no direction. No arrow. No explanations based on error.

So if Albert were around today perhaps he’d rethink. “Einstein’s theory of relativity states that time and space are not as constant as everyday life would suggest.” Yes they are. In fact, they really are!
